Interactive Elements

Adults and professionals learn better when the classroom is a vibrant, stimulating place. That's why we incorporate discussions, exercises and quizzes into all of our courses. These activities reinforce training and foster a practical, hands-on educational experience.

The following are two of several interactive elements incorporated into Project Management for Clinical Trials. Refer to the course agenda on pages 4 and 5 for additional examples.

Project Management Scenarios

  • Participants will read and develop possible solutions to difficult project management scenarios

  • Sample Scenario #1: You have been selected to be project manager for a pivotal trial of your company's most promising drug:
    • estimate the time required to complete each necessary task
    • foresee possible delays within the project timeline
    • plot the most efficient path for your company's drug

  • Sample Scenario #2: You receive a call from the Project Manager at the Sponsor and she shares the following information with you:
    • she never knows what is going on with the project
    • the monitors are not getting to the sites on schedule
    • three sites called to complain that the monitors show up late to scheduled visits and they do not return phone calls promptly
