The drug development process is a time-consuming, expensive endeavor that involves a series of complex steps from discovery to commercialization and beyond. The ultimate success of a drug traveling through this process, depends solely on the actions of and critical decisions made by industry professionals at each stage along the way. It is imperative that you not only understand your specific role in the cycle, but also how that role fits in as a small piece in the larger drug development puzzle. This knowledge will help you and your firm avoid costly and timely delays and overcome regulatory constraints.

This two-day interactive event provides a general overview of the drug development process: regulatory requirements, milestones of each stage of the cycle, recent industry trends, etc. Learn about potential setbacks you may face during product development and gain strategies and tools to overcome these issues. As you progress through the training, the "big picture" of drug development and, most importantly, how you specifically fit into that picture, will become clear. To improve the training experience, an exercise runs throughout the course where, working in teams, you will take a mock product through each stage of the drug development process. As problems arise within each step, participants will have to make and support critical decisions that will ultimately affect the successful navigation of their product through the development cycle. By the end of the event, you will be able to successfully integrate your responsibilities with what comes before and after your interaction with a drug's lifecycle, and improve your job skills by understanding all aspects involved in taking a product from bench to bedside.
