Implementing Clinical Trial Performance Metrics
Course Description
The cost of R&D increased six-fold between 1975 and 2000, while the output in annual new active substance (NAS) marketing authorizations reached a low of 26 in 2003. Clinical trial costs accounts for the majority of R&D spending, putting a distinctive burden on a company's total economic resources. The only means by which a company can analyze risks of spending on clinical trials against predicted financial return from marketed NAS is through successful implementation of clinical trial performance metrics. Participants will come away from this course with clear-cut methods for identifying useful metrics, systematically defining them. Learn how to use strategy maps, tracking metrics and balanced scorecard metrics to implement a viable and normalized metric system. Throughout the duration of the course, there are interactive exercises designed to increase take home learning and improve on-the-job performance.
